The land of KALOL belongs to Rev.Mota, the great thinker and rationalist. This land has brought up literary scholars like Shri Jayant Pathak, Shri Ramanlal V.Desai and Shri Chandrakant Sheth. The same land has produced a life time social worker Shri Maneklal M.Gandhi who earned the fame of being the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Thus this is the mother land and land of penance of great people.

With a sole aim of providing higher education to the students of KALOL Taluka residing in the remote areas an education trust was established on 14.2.90 under the name " The KALOL Urban Bank Education Trust ". The leading respected elders of KALOL Town formed the trust under the Chairmanship of Lt. Shri Jayantibhai N. Mehta . The trustees had to pass-through many hurdles to get affiliation from Gujarat University. The then sitting C.M. of Gujarat Shri Chimanbhai Patel helped to solve the problem. The college was started with Arts and Commerce faculties. In the Arts two languages i.e. Sanskrit and Gujarati and a comparatively new subject Sociology were introduced. The aim of the institution was to give students subjects which are valuable in terms of getting employment and are not available in surrounding colleges.Though Kalol has earned the reputation of being the first village of Panchmahals district to establish industrial estate, but a negative factor also emerged. The students avoid getting higher education due to poverty and easily available employment in the industries as workers. The second affecting factor to the higher education was unavailability of HEI. The female students avoid going to far off places for higher education. Looking, at this problem and with a clear vision of providing higher education to the male and female students of Kalol Taluka this institution was established. So the mission and objective of the institution is " To enlighten the lives of students of rural area with spreading higher education.

The aim of the institution is to provide higher education to the students of rural area and to give them bright and secure future . Many of our students have become lecturers, teachers, lawyers, soldiers and many have joined corporate world. Our aim is not completed; we wish to enlighten more lives in the coming future our dedication is towards the upliftment of students of rural area with more stress on female students. The institution always remains eager to implement changes in the curriculum, and fields of knowledge we have introduced computer learning and established a study centre of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar open University. The aim of the institution is to provide higher education to those students who are not in the position to attend college regularly. The institution moves ahead motivated by looking bright career of past students and with a hope to enlighten more lives in the coming future.
